Editorial policy
Eastern County Review aims to make rural landscapes easier to read without claiming more than the evidence supports. We separate observation from interpretation and make changes when a published explanation needs correction.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable source material and use plain language for unfamiliar terms. An image or visible feature may suggest a history, but suggestion is not proof; we identify uncertainty and avoid treating one example as universal.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and fit with our subject. A partnership does not purchase editorial approval, and commercial relationships do not determine the conclusions of an article.
Corrections
If you notice a factual error or a confusing passage, contact us with the article title and the specific point. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified and are not presented as documentary photographs.
